First, I have to confess that I’m a big fan of gypsies… those who go around the globe free of any geographical or political borders… known by their clothes, dances and domestic human relations that dignify women… not to mention their martial arts and skills in earning their living… either by trickery or other means…

I say this lest some people accuse me of racial discrimination if I said that many of our intellectuals and politicians are a perfect example of what my grandmother used to say to those who consume and do not produce… yet, they mock other people’s efforts saying: “you look like those old gypsies… you do nothing but making fun and mocking others”.

I was invited to a friendly sitting with old friends representing all shades of Left… dark red; those representing the Egyptian communist movement… a bit lighter red; unorganized Marxists… a more lighter shade of red; those members of at-Tagamo’a party… and finally the pink degree; those Arab-nationalists whom I belong to and who adopt argument as a discipline and social equality as a target… and who are also excluded by some hard-line Leftists from the Left calling them “petite Bourgeoisie”.

We talked about our present time along with all the problems associated with it… when some started the heated discussion saying there are some who sanctify the military… and then they started their usual talk about July 23 revolution, Nasser and killing the democratic national revolution that was starting to form in Egypt before 1952… they also said that it was normal that categories forming the “petite Bourgeoisie”; whether military men, unradical non-revolutionary intellectuals and other categories belonging to the middle class shall stick together… of course, they were hinting at me… however, the one who invited me replied straight and said that real Leftist is the one who believes in the role of the Egyptian army and who can distinguish between it and other armies in other countries in the region.

Since we all have a considerable level of knowledge, we decided to appeal to discipline… since when one mentions discipline, everyone listens, especially if they were Leftist… I talked about contradictions and priorities and the necessity to distinguish between main, partial and secondary contradictions… and so, upon realizing those contradictions, we can define our priorities…

And then we shall ask: what is the main contradiction that should be faced as a first priority?... is it the battle against Rightist tardiness powers claiming religious references and which adopt terrorism, killing and destruction as a means?... or is it the battle against the national military establishment; meaning our national Egyptian army?... also, are attempts to confiscate Egypt rights in the River Nile water and to besiege Egypt regionally by disconnecting it from its circles of influence… are those attempts included in the main contradictions?... also, is the plan viciously executed to dismantle Egypt and hit its solid core; meaning its society cohesion, included in those contradictions?... moreover, are corruption, corrupting, spread of looting, stealing and other conducts opposing development and working… are all those included in the main contradictions or not?

We kept listing the contradictions on all levels until we were faced by the question asking: who shall stand against those contradictions? And how shall we resist this?... shall we wait until strong cohesive organized civil political powers are formed with applicable clear programs and public mass spread nationwide in all productive facilities; fields, factories, institutions and others?... or shall we depend, in our current phase, on the only organized disciplined financially-independent establishment possessing a clear vision and which does not submit to any foreign powers, like the armed forces?

At this point, we appealed to history… that pot containing our patriotic experiences and the inscription registering all lessons learnt through ages… we found that the biggest killing problem hitting our nation in all historic eras is that we don’t understand the nature of contradictions… and consequently, we miss the ability to reorder priorities.

Right now, we are witnessing a scene verifying what my grandmother used to say about old gypsies… because we have a lot of those who consume but produce nothing and who prefer to participate by criticizing and attacking… and what is really odd is that most, if not all, of those attacking are eye and heart blind that they can’t give an example of themselves by working, producing and doing their part in building the country and leaving others do their roles too… giving the chance for mega projects and true changes to come true… paving the way for regaining our national determination and collective will… also to regain values respecting work to become like it was in the past… a duty, right and honor…

I know some of them who are experts in writing on Facebook and who either change their profile picture or curse the current regime leadership and all who disagree to them… to the extent that they may use slurred speech and expressions inappropriate to who claim to be an intellectual or thinker… they also feel no shame if they steal other people’s work and attribute it to themselves… and when you confront them with their bad deed, they don’t apologize and even do it again.

What I want to say here out of this Leftist discussion is: have a little bit of discipline, please… also, read a little bit of history.

طرف من حوار يساري

لا أخفي إعجابي بالغجر أولئك الذين ينتشرون في أرجاء المسكونة يتنسمون الانطلاق بلا حدود جغرافية ولا سياسية، ويتميزون بملابسهم وحليهم ورقصاتهم وعلاقاتهم الداخلية التي تعطي للمرأة مكانة مرموقة، ناهيك عن فنون قتالهم ومهاراتهم في كسب رزقهم بالحيلة وأشياء أخرى.. أقول ذلك كي لا يتسرب وهم بالتمييز العنصري قد اتهم به إذا قلت أن كثيرين من مثقفينا وسياسيينا يصدق فيهم المثل الذي كانت تضربه جدتي عندما تقرع سمع من يستهلك ولا ينتج، بل ويسخر من إنتاج المنتجين فتقول: "أنتم عاملين زي عواجيز الغجر أكل ونأورة" ومعلوم أن النأورة التي ربما تكون فصحاها "نقورة" هي السخرية اللفظية الحادة من الآخر، وهي في بعض اللهجات العامية "نأوزة"!!

ذلك أنه جمعتني مع أصدقاء قدامى جلسة كنا فيها كلنا من قبيلة اليسار بدرجاته.. أحمر قاني للذين لا يخفون انتسابهم للحركة الشيوعية المصرية، وأحمر فاتح قليلا لماركسيين غير منظمين ثم أفتح شويتين لأعضاء في حزب التجمع وصولا إلى البمبي الذي هو العبد لله ممن هم قوميون يعتنقون الجدل منهجا والعدل الاجتماعي غاية، وقد يخرجهم عتاة اليساريين من زمرة اليسار فيصنفونهم "برجوازية صغيرة"!

ومع الطعام الشهي والشراب البهي وضمن تشكيلة على ذلك النحو كان حتميا أن يدور الكلام حول المرحلة بكل ما ومن فيها.. وبدأ "جر الشكل" من زاوية أن هناك من يعبدون العبودية للعسكر، وبدأت الأسطوانة تدور حول ثورة يوليو وناصر وإجهاض الثورة الوطنية الديموقراطية التي كانت تختمر في جوف مصر قبل 1952، وأنه من الطبيعي أن تتجاذب مكونات البرجوازية الصغيرة من عسكر، ومثقفين غير ثوريين جذريين وشرائح من الطبقة الوسطى! وكنت أنا المقصود بالطبع.. إلا أن الداعي للجلسة والمتكفل بالفاتورة كل مرة تصدى بحسم شديد للأطروحة، وذهب إلى أن اليسار الحقيقي هو من يؤمن بدور جيش مصر ويميز بينه وبين جيوش أخرى في بلاد أخرى!

ولأننا كلنا نفهم في كل شيء اتجهت إلى ضرورة الاحتكام للمنهج.. وعندما تذكر كلمة المنهج ينصت الجميع، خاصة إذا كانوا من قبيلة اليسار وتحدثت عن قضية التناقضات والأولويات وحتمية التمييز بين التناقضات الرئيسية والأخرى الجزئية والثالثة الهامشية، ومن ثم وبناء على فهم التناقضات نستطيع أن نحدد الأولويات.. وبعدئذ يكون السؤال الحقيقي وليس المجازي: ما هو التناقض الرئيسي الذي تجب مواجهته كأولوية أولى، هل هو الصراع ضد قوى التخلف اليميني ذي الصبغة التي تزعم مرجعية دينية وتنحو نحو الإرهاب والقتل والتدمير، أم ضد المؤسسة العسكرية الوطنية أي جيش مصر الوطني؟، وهل يدخل ضمن التناقضات الرئيسية محاولات مصادرة حق مصر في مياه النيل، ومحاولات حصارها إقليميا لعزلها عن دوائر فعلها؟ وهل يدخل أيضا المخطط الذي تم تنفيذه بضراوة لتفتيت مصر وتفكيكها وضرب نواتها الصلبة أي تماسكها الاجتماعي؟ وهل يدخل الإفساد والفساد وتفشي النهب والسلب ومعهما شيوع القيم المضادة للتنمية والعمل، ضمن التناقضات الرئيسية أم لا؟!

ثم استمر ذكر التناقضات بدرجاتها الأخرى، ووصلنا للسؤال المتصل بمن وكيف التصدي لهذه التناقضات، وهل يتم الانتظار لحين تبلور قوى سياسية مدنية منظمة متماسكة قوية لديها برامج واضحة قابلة للتطبيق ولديها وجود جماهيري منتشر في ربوع الوطن ومؤسساته الإنتاجية في الحقول والمصانع والمصالح وغيرها، أم من الوارد مرحليا الاعتماد على القوة الوحيدة المنظمة المنضبطة واضحة الرؤية محددة المهام غير التابعة لأصابع خارجية ومستقلة التمويل وهي القوات المسلحة؟!

وعندئذ عدنا إلى التاريخ الذي هو مخزون الخبرة الوطنية وهو المتن الذي يمكن استخلاص الدروس منه، لنجد أن الآفة الكبرى القاتلة التي تضرب الوطن في كل مفصل تاريخي هي آفة الخلط وآفة غياب فهم طبيعة التناقضات ومن ثم غياب القدرة على ترتيب الأولويات.

نحن أمام مشهد تصدق فيه حكاية جدتي عن عواجيز الغجر، لأن هناك من يستهلك ولا ينتج ويؤثر أن يبقى مشاركا بالانتقاد والتهجم لدرجة التجني والبذاءة، ولا يعجبه العجب ولا الصيام في رجب، والأكثر عجبا أن معظم إن لم يكن كل الذين يتهجمون لديهم عمى بصر وطمس بصيرة، يحول بينهم وبين أن يبدأوا بأنفسهم.. بأن يعملوا وأن ينتجوا وأن يؤدوا دورهم في بناء هذا الوطن وأن يتركوا غيرهم يعمل، ويعطوا الفرصة لاستكمال ما بدأ تنفيذه من مشاريع كبرى ومن تحولات حقيقية باتجاه استعادة العزيمة الوطنية والإرادة الجمعية، واحترام قيم العمل ليصبح كما كان واجبا وحقا وشرفا!

أعرف محترفين للكتابة على الفيس بوك ولا تمر ساعة إلا ولهم إسهام ما، إما بتغيير صورهم الشخصية لاستعراض "بوزات" طلعتهم البهية، وإما بصب اللعنات على قيادة النظام الحالي وعلى كل من يخالفهم الرأي، ولدرجة استخدام ألفاظ ومصطلحات لا تليق بمن يدعي لنفسه أنه مفكر أو مثقف ويعرف العيب والحلال والحرام، ولأن الحقيقة لا تتجزأ فإن منهم هم أنفسهم من يستحل سرقة إنتاج غيره ونسبته لنفسه ليتقاضى عنه أجرا، فإذا تمت مواجهته بما حدث منه لا يعتذر وإنما يمضي في الطريق نفسه!!

خلاصة ما وددت قوله من محصلة هذا الحوار اليساري هو: قليل من المنهج يرحمكم الله.. والتاريخ.

Dictatorship and assassinating the president’s character

Long time ago, accusations leveled by people belonging to political and doctrinal orientations became like clothes; ready-made and tailor-made, as every political orientation had its own skills of leveling accusations at its enemies. The peak of this was, and will always be, by using such accusations in assassinating the character of the person intended.

For example, in a certain period of time, the Marxist Left were really adept at leveling accusations of disloyalty and working in favor of security entities at their enemies while calling them ideological descriptions like “petit bourgeois”, “having revolutionary immaturity”, “infiltrator working for the counter-revolution” and “comprador”. Also, muslim brotherhood mastered leveling accusations of heresy and depravity at others. Later, along with Islamic groups, they raised the level of accusations to “atheism” making all who disagree with them “heretic”, “depraved”… and “atheist”. Nasserites too, for they belong to the Left in general, did not escape this and did level accusations of working in favor of security entities, opportunism, riding the wave and deviating from principles of socialism at those who disagreed with them.

However, only two of the historic figures in our contemporary history were targeted by character assassination; these two are Gamal Abdel-Nasser and Abdel-Fattah as-Sisi. Anwar Sadat, meanwhile, was physically assassinated. It’s obvious that the accusation of being a dictator and tyrant is the most effective in assassinating the character of the two presidents, for both of them have common traits inhibiting any attempt to assassinate their character through accusations like corruption, drinking alcohol, being a womanizer, working for international intelligence agencies…etc.

It’s not strange that terrorists of muslim brotherhood and other islamist groups agree with some of those who claim to be liberals, others claiming to be socialists and others claiming to be just Egyptians, on leveling the accusation of being a dictator to president Sisi, as this accusation, according to their belief, is welcomed by the American and European West and organizations raising slogans of human rights and protecting freedoms. Through this window or gate, they can work to tighten the noose around Egypt on the cyberspace, political and economic levels, and hence, affecting president Sisi’s ability to go forward with our country towards the targeted goals of development.

Most dangerously is to distract the attention of the international community away from the enormous efforts made by Sisi-led Egypt in fighting the armed terrorism that hit our Egyptian existence on several fronts. Moreover, Egypt have sacrificed tens of martyrs of army, police, judiciary men and civilians in this fight, not to mention the huge social and economic costs incurred amid dire shortage of resources and funds.

Then, this accusation of dictatorship is what terrorists of muslim brotherhood and other islamist groups have, along with those I mentioned who claim being liberals and socialists, to obstruct any successes achieved by Sisi-led Egypt in all domestic fields and on the foreign level in specific, as successes in this domain are almost unprecedented for Egypt since long time.

The best way to face such rumors and false accusations is to ignore them since discussing such nonsense means acknowledging it. However, what we have is not a rumor, rather a dirty weapon the enemy insists on using to deprive our country of reaping the fruits of any efforts made earnestly on all fronts and levels. Hence, it’s better to reply and refute such accusations and not rely on the ability of foreign parties in specific and of some intuitive awareness on the domestic level to understand the real target behind such accusations.

We will not start by defining dictatorship or the difference between dictatorship and autocracy, as even the “dictator”, according to classics of political sciences and history, has to consult his associates among whom he is the first. As to the “autocrat”, he is the absolute ruler not subject to restrictions or consulting anyone. Also, we will not provide examples of dictatorships that succeeded in saving its peoples from bloody civil wars and underdevelopment; a clear and recent model for this is “Franco” in Spain who managed to save his country and put it on the way of true democracy.

However, we will begin by asking: is there any signs of tyranny in the ruling of president Sisi?... is there any absence for the three judiciary, legislative and executive authorities or institutions?... isn’t there any separation of powers?... don’t we have a constitution?... have laws been disabled?... are there any special procedures or courts?... is there a permanent state of emergency nationwide?... does the president monopolize making and taking the decision?! Also, does analyzing the purport of president Sisi’s political discourse indicate any signs of inclination to tyranny, as sometime tongue slips can tell of the hidden intentions of the one talking?

The answer is simply: No… without much details as the answers are practically demonstrated and clear, and even the last question regarding analyzing the purport of the president’s political discourse, the answer is also negative, for the man in most of his speeches – as if he wants to convey a certain meaning – always says he is just a single man no better than anyone else, and that he alone can do nothing unless “we all together” unite.

Finally, I’d like to say that attempts to assassinate the character of the president will not stop, and if security entities are entitled to protecting him physically, they will not be able to protect him against such attempts of assassinating his character, as this is the role of the cultured elite who agree to the president’s orientation and who realize that assassinating his character will work for the benefit of terrorism, chaos and enabling the enemies of our country to threaten its existence and future.

Nasser… Sisi… and dead wolf head

Despite almost half a century has passed since he left our world, attempts to kill off Nasser’s character are still ongoing… Those attempts are not aimed at Nasser alone… however, they aim at disconnecting rings of Egyptian national struggle… and disrupting phases of Egyptian national renaissance based on maintaining the Egyptian state and strengthening its bases…

And then they threaten using the model of “dead wolf head” to terrify the current national leadership and prevent it from pursuing the national struggle and Egyptian renaissance project… in the same time, they are keen to follow their ancestors… those who considered themselves “people of the real interest in Egypt”… those ancestors who chose to cooperate with the British occupation… to adopt westernization in thought and behavior… to give priority to revenue and self interests over any other values… and finally, they worked to tie the country to the internationally-dominating strategies and interests… depending on the era… meaning since the old colonial empires to the savage new-imperialist capitalism… including the Zionist state that is considered, according to history and politics, a true extension of colonization; old and modern… as Israel is a perfect model of racist settler colonialism…

This is my explanation for the campaign that turned into almost a syndrome rashing over those afflicted with it every now and then… and so they can’t help but write unceasingly attacking Nasser and July 23 revolution… and of course, along with them all social, economic, cultural and intellectual aspects of both the revolution and Nasser.

We don’t, and shall not in all means, seek to expect the current national leadership represented by president Sisi, to be an identical copy of Nasser lest we make the same mistake… also, we don’t expect to have the same policies like before… since it’s a sick feeling of nostalgia to the past that doesn’t take into consideration the massive changes that took place during that long time… and so there is no chance left to any kind of repeating past eras’ policies… not to mention that this attitude is unfair to the current national action since every leader has his own character and vision…

There is great difference between dealing with fundamentals of Egyptian national existence imposed by necessities of geography and geopolitics and which are also mentioned in history lessons since central state was first established around the river and started controlling the relation tying the river and sea, the valley and desert… and other political facts stating that there were policies and practices valid at their own very time and era but no longer are in our present time… exactly like many other human, political and intellectual phenomena…

Geography facts and history morals have the priority… as they have one definition for Egyptian national security necessities… those necessities that were long expressed and formulated by ancient Egyptians in theories of strategy professors’ and history philosophers…

For example, ancient Egyptian inscriptions speak of the king – especially that of the modern dynasties – as the one who works to secure “the land”… land here means Egypt… by securing the easternmost projection of the African continent and reversed river resources… meaning the Horn of Africa where Land of Punt lies… also where mummification materials and other valuable materials used to come… this area that stretches to Mandab strait along with the eastern coast and the land beyond it; now known as Eritrea, South Sudan and Ethiopia… all that region that controls Egypt security… they also headed north to secure the Tigris and Euphrates rivers’ resources flowing from Taurus Mountains… they are also called reversed waters since they run from north to south… unlike the unique case of the River Nile running from south to north…

They conducted military campaigns and established checkpoints of surveillance and early warning… they also extended sources of potable water…etc… this strategic geographical fact along with all the details associated to it in history lessons is an established truth throughout ages to date.

In this way, if it happened that all great Egyptian leaders paid due attention to the River Nile and its relation to the sea and national security… then it’s because they are fully aware of the national fundamentals… and not because they repeat old practices… in this regard, there are a lot of examples to tell, and which are known to those aiming at disconnecting rings of our national struggle and disrupting phases of our renaissance project…

But they will not cease to write about their syndrome unless they guarantee full control over decision making process in Egypt… it’s the truth… and this is the real essence of the conflict bustling in Egypt now… it’s a conflict between committing to national fundamentals and destroying and going astray from them… it’s a mental and psychological struggle… and I don’t think there is a near end to it.

ناصر.. والسيسي.. ورأس الذئب الطائر

رغم مرور ما يقرب من نصف قرن على رحيل جمال عبد الناصر، إلا أن محاولات اغتيال شخصيته ما زالت مستمرة لا تستهدفه هو بقدر ما تهدف إلى تقطيع أوصال الترابط بين حلقات النضال الوطني المصري، وإلى الوقيعة بين مراحل مشروع النهوض المصري المرتكز على الحفاظ على الدولة المصرية وتمتين أسسها، ثم تقديم نموذج «رأس الذئب الطائر»، لترويع القيادة الوطنية الحالية والحيلولة بينها وبين أن تكون حلقة متقدمة ومرحلة متممة لكل من النضال الوطني ومشروع النهوض المصري!

وفيما يحرص أصحاب تلك المحاولات على أن يكونوا استمرارًا لأسلافهم، الذين اعتبروا أنفسهم أصحاب المصلحة الحقيقية في مصر، فاختاروا فلسفة التعاون مع الاحتلال البريطاني ومنهج التغريب في الفكر والسلوك، وتقديم الربح والمصلحة الذاتية على ما عداهما من قيم، ثم السعي لربط الوطن بالمصالح والاستراتيجيات المهيمنة عالميًا حسب المرحلة، أي منذ الإمبراطوريات الاستعمارية القديمة إلى الرأسمالية الإمبريالية الجديدة المتوحشة، وبما في ذلك الدولة الصهيونية، التي هي بالتاريخ والسياسة امتداد عضوي فج لحركة الاستعمار قديمه وجديده، حيث تعد نموذجًا للاستعمار الاستيطاني العنصري – فيما يحرصون على ذلك – فإنهم يعمدون إلى التمزيق الذي أشرت إليه في بداية السطور!

هكذا أفسر الحملة التي أضحت أقرب إلى متلازمة مرضية «سندروم»، تطفح أعراضها على عقول المصابين بها، فلا يملكون مقاومة النزوع إلى الكتابة الدورية بلا توقف هجومًا وتهجمًا «عمال على بطال» على جمال عبد الناصر وثورة يوليو، وبالطبع على كل الجوانب الفكرية والثقافية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، التي ارتبطت بناصر ويوليو!

وحتى لا نقع في الخطأ نفسه، فإننا لا نسعى ويجب ألا نسعى بحال من الأحوال لكي تكون القيادة الوطنية الحالية، ممثلة في الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي صورة كربونية من جمال عبد الناصر، ولا أن تكون الممارسة السياسية تكرارًا لما كان، لأن في ذلك حنينًا مرضيًا للماضي، وفيه تجنٍ على الوطن الذي مرت عليه متغيرات هائلة لا تفسح مجالاً لتكرار من أي نوع وأية درجة، ناهيك عن أن هذا السعي - إذا وجد - فيه ظلم لمن يقودون العمل الوطني حاليًا، لأن لكل عقل إبداعاته ولكل قائد بصمته ورؤيته!

إن الفرق كبير بين التعامل مع ثوابت الوجود الوطني المصري، التي تفرضها حتميات الجغرافيا الطبيعية والسياسية، وتفصح عنها دروس حركة التاريخ منذ أن قامت الدولة المركزية من حول النهر، وسعت لتنظيم العلاقة بين النهر وبين البحر.. وبين الوادي وبين الصحراء، وبين الزعم بوجود حتميات سياسية لا تعترف بمتغيرات داخلية وإقليمية ودولية، ولا تقر بأن ثمة مناهج وممارسات قد كانت صحيحة في عصرها وأوانها، ثم أصابها البلى وفقدت صلاحيتها شأنها شأن ظواهر فكرية وسياسية إنسانية عديدة، وإلا صار الوضعي النسبي مقدسًا ومطلقًا!

ثوابت الجغرافيا ودروس التاريخ هي الأولى بالعناية، وعلى ضوئها نجد وحدة المفهوم لمقتضيات الأمن الوطني المصري منذ عبّر عنها المصريون القدماء وصاغها في نظريات علماء الاستراتيجية وفلاسفة التاريخ.. وعلى سبيل المثال السريع فإن المتون المصرية القديمة تتحدث عن أن الملك – خاصة في الأسر الحديثة – قد سعى ليؤمن «الأرض»، حيث مصر دومًا هي الأرض، منطلقًا إلى قرن الأرض وإلى منابع المياه المعكوسة.. أي من القرن الإفريقي حيث بلاد بونت، أي مصادر مواد التحنيط وثروات متعددة، ومضيق باب المندب المتحكم في أمن مصر، ومعه الساحل والعمق فيما يعرف الآن بإريتريا وجنوب السودان والحبشة.. إلى منابع دجلة والفرات وسفوح جبال طوروس، وهي مياه معكوسة لأنها تجري من الشمال إلى الجنوب عكس النموذج الفذ، أي النيل الجاري من الجنوب للشمال!

وهنا نظمت الحملات وأقيمت نقاط الحراسة والمراقبة والإنذار المبكر ومدت مصادر المياه العذبة وهلم جرا.. وقد بقي هذا الثابت الجغرافي الاستراتيجي ومعه كل التفاصيل المنتجة لدروس التاريخ حقيقة قائمة عبر العصور لوقتنا هذا!

فإذا حدث واهتم كل قادة مصر العظام بالنهر وعلاقته بالبحر وبمحاور الأمن الوطني، يصبح الأمر فهمًا واعيًا للثوابت الوطنية، وليس تكرارًا لممارسات سابقة! وهناك العديد من النماذج المتصلة بهذا المثال، وهو ما يدركه تمامًا أصحاب نظرية وممارسة تقطيع أواصل الارتباط بين حلقات النضال الوطني وهدم التواصل بين مراحل مشروع النهوض، ولن يتوقفوا عن التعبير عن متلازمتهم المرضية إلى أن يضمنوا هيمنتهم الكاملة على صنع القرار واتخاذه في مصر، وهذه هي حقيقة وهذا هو لب الصراع الدائر في مصر الآن.. صراع بين الانحياز والالتزام بالثوابت الوطنية وبين هدمها والاغتراب بعيدًا عنها عقليًا ونفسيًا، ولا أظن أن نهاية هذا الصراع قريبة.

الديكتاتورية ومحاولة اغتيال شخصية الرئيس

منذ زمن طويل صارت الاتهامات السياسية والعقائدية مثل الملابس، منها الجاهز ومنها التفصيل!!، وكان لكل اتجاه سياسي مهاراته في توجيه التهم لخصومه، وكانت الذروة وستبقى هي الوصول بالاتهامات إلى مرحلة اغتيال الشخصية.

وعلى سبيل المثال وليس الحصر، كان اليسار الماركسي في مرحلة من المراحل يتفنن في إلصاق تهمة العمالة للأجهزة الأمنية "المباحث" لخصومه، فيما يطلق عليهم أوصافًا عقائدية من قبيل "البرجوازي الصغير" و"المراهق الثوري" و"عميل الثورة المضادة" و"الكومبرا دور"!

وكان الإخوان يتفننون في إلصاق تهمة الزندقة والفسق بغيرهم، ثم تصاعدوا بالتهمة ومعهم الجماعات الإسلامية إلى مستوى "الكفر"، ليكون كل من خالفهم "زنديقًا.. وفاسقًا.. وكافرًا"، ولأن الناصريين هم جزء من اليسار بوجه عام فلم يكونوا بمعزل عن توجيه الاتهامات لمخالفيهم أيضًا بالعمالة للأجهزة أو بالانتهازية وركوب الموجة أو بالاستغلال والانحراف عن الاشتراكية!

إلا أن عملية اغتيال الشخصية.. طالت حتى الآن اثنين من رموز الوطن، هما جمال عبد الناصر وعبد الفتاح السيسي، فيما طال اغتيال الشخص أنور السادات. وواضح أن تهمة الديكتاتورية والاستبداد هي الأقوى في تصفية شخصية الرئيسين، لأنهما وبمحض الصدفة يشتركان في صفات تحول دون اغتيال شخصيتهما عبر تهم مثل الفساد والخمر والنساء والعمالة لوكالات الاستخبارات العالمية إلى آخره.

 وليس عجيبًا أن يلتقي الإرهابيون من إخوان وغيرهم مع بعض ممن يزعمون أنهم ليبراليون، وآخرين يزعمون أنهم اشتراكيون وغيرهم ممن يزعم أنه مصري وفقط على توجيه الاتهام بالديكتاتورية للرئيس السيسي، لأن هذه التهمة تلقى في معتقدهم قبولاً ورواجًا في دوائر الغرب الأوروبي والأمريكي، والمنظمات التي تحمل لافتات حقوق الإنسان وحماية الحريات وخلافه، ومن هذه النافذة أو البوابة يمكن التحفيز لحصار مصر سياسيًا واقتصاديًا ومعلوماتيًا، والتأثير بالتالي على قدرة السيسي في السير بالبلاد نحو الأهداف المرجوة من التنمية، والأخطر هو صرف النظر الدولي عن الجهد الجبار الذي تبذله مصر بقيادة السيسي في مواجهة ومحاربة الإرهاب المسلح، الذي يضرب الوجود المصري من عدة جبهات، وقدمت مصر من جيشها وشرطتها وقضاتها ومدنييها عشرات الشهداء في مواجهته، ناهيك عما تتكبده اقتصاديًا واجتماعيًا من تكاليف ينوء بحملها الجبال، في ظل نقص حاد في الموارد والإمكانيات!

شماعة الديكتاتورية إذن هي ما يستند إليها الإرهابيون من إخوان وجماعات، ومعهم من أشرت إليهم من زاعمي الليبرالية والاشتراكية لإجهاض أية نجاحات تحققها مصر بقيادة السيسي في كل المجالات الداخلية، ثم الخارجية بوجه خاص، لأن النجاحات المتوالية فيها تكاد تكون غير مسبوقة بالنسبة لمصر عبر عقود طويلة خلت!

إن القاعدة الأسلم في مواجهة الشائعات والترهات والادعاءات الباطلة هي تجاهلها، لأن مجرد مناقشتها يعني الاعتراف بها، ولكن ما نحن بصدده ليس شائعة بقدر ما هو سلاح قذر يصمم الخصم على استخدامه لحرمان وطننا من حصاد نتائج أية جهود تبذل وبإخلاص على كل الجبهات والأصعدة، ومن ثم فالأولى هو الرد والتفنيد وعدم الركون إلى قدرة الأطراف الأخرى الخارجية خصوصًا وبعض مناطق الوعي الهش السطحي داخليًا على فهم حقيقة هذه الترهات والادعاءات!

إننا لن نبدأ بتعريف الديكتاتورية ولا الفرق بينها وبين الأوتوقراطية، لأنه حتى "الديكتاتور" ملزم في كلاسيكيات العلوم السياسية وفي التاريخ بأن يستشير أقرانه الذين هو الأول بينهم، أما "الأوتوقراطور"، أي الحاكم الأوحد فلا إلزام له بالاستشارة!.. ولن نسوق أمثلة عن ديكتاتوريات نجحت في إنقاذ شعوبها من ويلات الحروب الأهلية ومن ربقة التخلف، وكان النموذج الواضح لها وإلى عهد قريب هو "فرانكو" في إسبانيا، الذي نجح في إنقاذ بلاده ووضعها على طريق الديمقراطية الصحيحة!

وما نبدأ به هو هل هناك أية ملامح للاستبداد الفردي في حكم الرئيس السيسي؟!.. هل هناك غياب للمؤسسات أو السلطات الثلاث التنفيذية والتشريعية والقضائية.. وهل يغيب الفصل بين السلطات؟ وهل لا يوجد دستور؟ وهل تم تعطيل العمل بالقوانين، وهل هناك إجراءات ومحاكم استثنائية، وحالة طوارئ مستديمة في كل أرجاء البلاد، وهل يستأثر الرئيس وحده بصنع القرار واتخاذه، حيث صنع القرار سابق على اتخاذه؟!.. ثم هل يؤدي تحليل مضمون الخطاب السياسي للرئيس إلى استشفاق النزوع الاستبدادي الفردي لديه، حيث تكون سقطات اللسان تعبيرًا عن مكنونات مخبأة ونوايا مبيتة تنبئ أن المتحدث يبطن غير أو عكس ما يعلن؟!

الإجابة بكلمة واحدة هي: لا.. ودونما تفاصيل لأن إجابة كل سؤال واضحة عمليًا، وحتى السؤال الأخير حول تحليل مضمون الخطاب السياسي للرئيس فإن الإجابة هي الأخرى سلبية.. بمعنى أن الرجل في معظم أحاديثه، ولدرجة بدت إلحاحًا منه على معنى بذاته يريد أن يؤكده دومًا، وهو أنه واحد من الناس لا يتميز عنهم ولا فيهم، وأنه لن يستطيع أن يحقق إنجازًا وحده.. لأن يدًا واحدة لا تصفق.. وكذلك فإنه دومًا يتحدث عن "نون الجماعة"، "إحنا كلنا مع بعضنا".. "استعمل كلنا"! إلى آخر ما في هذا السياق!

أخيرًا لا بد أن نستوعب أن محاولات اغتيال شخصية الرئيس لن تتوقف، وإذا كانت أجهزة الأمن المنوط بها حماية شخصه قادرة على حمايته جسديًا فإن هذه الأجهزة لن تتمكن من التصدي لمحاولة اغتيال شخصيته، لأن هذا هو دور النخبة المثقفة المتفقة مع توجه الرئيس، والتي تقدر دوره وتدرك أن اغتيال شخصيته يصب لمصلحة الإرهاب والفوضى، ويمكن أعداء الوطن من وجود الوطن ومستقبله.

الاعلامية بسنت حسن تستضيف الكاتب الصحفى ا احمد الجمال فى مثير للجدل 22...

عندما أرادوه ميدانًا سماويًا

في غمرة انفعال ساخن روى أحد رؤساء التحرير السابقين لصحيفة قومية كبرى أو قل إنها الأكبر عن أن رئيس مجلس إدارتها آنذاك الذي كان محسوبا بل قل متقدما في مكانته لدى أمين لجنة السياسات بالحزب الوطني، ويعرف بأنه خبير استراتيجي، طالب بأن يتدخل سلاح الطيران ويدك ميادين المظاهرات في ثورة يناير، وفي مقدمتها ميدان التحرير، وقال الاستراتيجي الذي عاد للبث بقدرة قادر أن السلطات الصينية فعلت ذلك في أحداث الميدان السماوي ولم يعترض أحد في العالم، ومر الأمر كأن لم يكن، ومضت الصين في طريقها حتى وصلت إلى ما هي عليه الآن!

سمعت ذلك مع آخرين مستعد أن أذكر أسماءهم إذا لزم الأمر!.. وكان رئيس التحرير نفسه هو من استضيف في الصالون الثقافي بمنزل أحد السفراء العرب بالقاهرة، وكان ذلك قبل ثورة يناير بفترة وجيزة، وعندما اتجه الكلام لاحتمالات الغضب الشعبي ضد نظام مبارك، رد حضرته بثقة شديدة إذا حدث غضب شعبي فإن الجيش المصري سينزل وسيمسكهم من قفاهم إلى السجون، ومد أصابعه وكأنه يمسك أحدا من قفاه ليؤكد بالحركة ما يتحدث عنه بالكلمة!

وفي جلسة لمجموعة من علية القوم وظيفيا - سابقين في معظمهم- منذ عدة أسابيع جاء ذكر ما جرى في ثورة يناير، وإذا بالسيد رئيس التحرير السابق نفسه يقول بغضب شديد أن المتسبب في نجاح تلك الجريمة هو المشير طنطاوي!

أنا لا أتحدث عن أموات، وعلى استعداد لذكر الأسماء التي كدت أن أقول حروفها كاملة من خلال الوصف، وسبب تقليب هذه المواجع والإشارة إلى ما قالوه ليس أهميتهم مع احترامي لهم على المستوى الإنساني، ولكن السبب هو أن ثمة من يظن أو يعتقد أن نظام مبارك قام من الرماد وأنه يحكم عبر فلوله من جديد، وأنهم وهم محسوبون عليه، وهم أيضا من ضحايا يناير، لهم الحق في أن يقولوا ما يشاءون في حق الحراك الشعبي الهائل الذي جرى، ثم إنهم - وهذا هو بيت القصيد ومربط الفرس- يعتقدون أن الجيش المصري هو الذي سيضرب ويقمع ويبيد أي تحرك شعبي محتمل قد ينشب ويستهدف استئصال رموز ومضامين نظام مبارك، ومن بينهم عينات معروف عنها الآن المباهاة الفاجرة بأدوارها وأفكارها!

لقد ظنوا وهم يدمرون حياة هذا الوطن عبر الفساد والإفساد والاستبداد والفشل في الإدارة، حتى على مستوى جريدة، أن الجيش المصري هو "الغفير" الواقف على باب دوار العمدة بلغة أهلنا زمان، أو هو "السكيورتي" الواقف في مدخل الكومبوند وعلى باب الفيلا يقال له امنع واضرب فيمنع ويضرب!!

إنني أذكر الرد الذي رددت به على ما طرح في الصالون الثقافي إياه، وأكدت فيه أن الجيش المصري ليس عصابة في أمريكا اللاتينية، ولن ينحاز لحظة ضد إرادة الشعب وأيدني البعض إلا أن المتحدث ضحك بمودة وقال: "فلان خايف يتمسك من قفاه"!!

ولم تمض شهور قليلة حتى وقعت الواقعة وانحاز الجيش للشعب وانزوى رئيسا التحرير والإدارة بل واجه كلاهما أو أحدهما توجيه الاتهام بالفساد!

أظن، وليس كل الظن إثما، أن هؤلاء الذين تبددت مصالحهم وتبعثرت طموحاتهم مع كرامتهم بسبب ثورة الشعب المصري في يناير، يراهنون على العودة تدريجيا إلى ما كانوا عليه قبلها، ويمعنون في الهجوم عليها وعلى قيادة الجيش المصري آنذاك ممثلة في المشير طنطاوي، ويسعون إلى اصطناع فجوة وتعميقها بين الجيش المصري والشعب، وأيضا بين أجيال القيادة في جيشنا الوطني العريق، وأظنهم لن يتوقفوا عن التحريض على أن يمارس الحكم أقصى وأقسى أنواع العنف ضد أية احتمالات لتحرك شعبي، مثلما فلسفها الاستراتيجي إياه لنظام مبارك بحكاية "ميدان تيانانمن" أو "الميدان السماوي" في الصين!

إنهم ليبراليون عند الاستعراض في وسائل الإعلام، وأحرار فقط عند مصالحهم ووطنيون بدون حدود عند تأييد الأسرة الحاكمة السابقة، أما فيما عدا ذلك فالطائرات القاذفة والمدرعات كفيلة بتحقيق استمرار ليبراليتهم وحريتهم ووطنيتهم!

ولقد انتظرت مثلي مثل غيري أن ينطق باشاوات الرأسمالية المصرية ومنظروها ومقعروها ليقولوا للشعب أين وكيف السبيل لمواجهة احتكارات القمح والأرز ولبن الأطفال والسكر، ومواجهة الفساد البشع الذي تكشفت بعض جوانبه مؤخرا، وليوضحوا رأيهم فيمن يذهب لسداد سبعين أو ثمانين أو مائة مليون جنيه وهو واقف حتى يتم الإفراج عنه، ومن ثم ماذا عن ثروته أصلا ومنذ متى وهو يسرق في القمح وغير القمح؟!

إنهم يظنون أن معسكر أعداء النجاح وأعداء الاجتهاد وبتوع الشعارات الحنجورية يضعون العراقيل أمام كل ناجح مجتهد في عمله وبعرقه، ولطالما كتبوا متسائلين باستنكار عن أية جريمة تلك التي يرتكبها من يعمل ويجتهد فيكسب وتتعاظم ثروته، ولكنهم صمتوا صمت القبور عندما ظهر أن ليس كل من دخل الجامع متدينا وليس كل من دخل الخمارة عاصيا سكيرا، لأنه قد يدخل الجامع حرامي أحذية ونشال جيوب، وقد يدخل الخمارة من يبحث عن ابن أو أب لينقذه مما هو فيه!

لقد تعمدت أن أخالف تقاليد يراها البعض غير قابلة للمخالفة، وأعني بها كتمان ما يدور في جلسات عفوية بين أصدقاء ومعارف وضيوف، ولكن خطورة ما سمعته وما أسمعه وما أتابعه قد تدخل الأمر في باب الضرورات التي تبيح المحظورات.. ذلك أنهم يحاولون وضع الجيش المصري في مواجهة الشعب وفي معادلة لم يعرفها من قبل، وهي أن تلعن أجيال الحاضر أجيالا سبقت..

Armenian Genocide

Definitely, wrong does not justify wrong… similarly, crime does not justify crime… in this regard, I remember a heated debate I had with late distinguished friend Dr. Ahmed Abdallah Rozza over the attack held on a Jewish synagogue in one of the European capitals during prayers where some Jewish children were there.

The debate was about whether the Zionist crimes against the Palestinians, including children in worship places, schools and streets, and before that their vicious massacre against Egyptian children in Bahr El-Baqar primary school, justify doing the same thing against their children, no matter by Palestinians or others… The debate was fierce indeed… because if one rejected such behavior, he would find reasons justifying his stance… and if one adopted this behavior; meaning killing them, he would find logic reasons corroborating his stance as well.

Usually, under feelings of pain, injustice and oppression, one can overreact in his feelings to the extent that he insists his enemy must go through the same suffering he once forced him to.

I was going through a book I found on my desk when I asked about who bought it, they said it’s a gift from the Armenian General Benevolent Association of Cairo… Actually, it’s not an ordinary book; it’s rectangular in shape, rising 7 cm above the desk surface with 1372 pages of the size 34 cm x 17 cm, with words written in small font… meaning, we have a book holding many volumes within titled “Armenian Genocide” and authored by Dr. Remon Kiforkian who was introduced by the writer of the book introduction; Berg Terizian; honorary president of the association as: “Dr. Remon Kiforkian was awarded the PhD degree in Sorbonne University in Paris at 1980… he is a historian who studied in the French institute of political geography at Paris University… also, he was the research director in the same institute… he also was secretary general of Nubarian Library affiliated to the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) in Paris”… then the association chief listed the leading positions occupied and books authored by the author; all of them were prestigious indeed.

As to the book, it talks about the Armenian Genocide committed by the government of Ottoman Turkey during World War I; meaning a hundred years ago and during which million and a half Armenians died… The main motive behind this genocide was the desire of Al-Etihad Wat-Taraqqi party leaders – the party ruling Ottoman Turkey with tyranny at that time – to build a national Turkish state excluding all non-Turkish ethnic minorities.

To achieve this goal, those leaders started following a systematic policy of extermination; they led the Armenians in death convoys from their historic homeland to the deserts of Syria and Iraq… in addition to robbing their assets and money; fixed and liquid.

The publisher of the book is the Armenian General Association in Cairo, first established in Cairo in 1910 as an offshoot of the AGBU that was established in 1906 in Cairo by Boghos Nubar Pasha; son of Nubar Pasha Nubarian; first Premier of Egypt (1878 – 1879)… The association works in the fields of education and providing different social services in the domain of the Armenian community in Egypt… it also pursues cultural activities to revive the Armenian heritage through publishing books and bulletins and holding seminars and art exhibitions”…

That’s what I excerpted from the introduction of the association chief… I believe it’s important to publish such information in this article because I’m sure the information available to the public and intellectuals as well about Armenians, Armenian Genocide and the association are almost nothing.

It drew my attention that the book author insisted on being unbiased in his analysis… he could gather a wealth of documented information… also, his discipline was distinguished and new as he did not separate the controversial relation between the aggressor and victim.

In this regard, he wrote: “… I tried in the first place to know about the institutional, political, social, and even psychological mechanisms that reached their maxima in exterminating the Ottoman Armenians in specific… I worked hard to detect the consecutive phases of fundamentalism in Al-Etihad Wat-Taraqqi party circles… I also paid special attention to decision making processes that are complicated phenomena… if there is a phenomenon of that name… Here I put the controversy about ideas inside Al-Etihad Wat-Taraqqi elite leaders, forming their ideology and what followed later when this ideology turned into fundamentalism… I put this controversy against the parallel rise of nationalism corroborated by the Armenian revolutionary movements…

Those elite leaders of both sides, whether when they opposed the regime of Sultan Abdel-Hamid or later when they came in power, were discussing unceasingly the destiny of their common society… I tried to put this into consideration… also, I paid special attention to the great disturbing similarity between the Armenian elite leaders and Al-Etihad Wat-Taraqqi party… As both sides regarded themselves as guardians of a sacred mission; that is saving the nation… and so you will find this study going back and forth between both sides’ experiments”.

The book that exceeded 1300 pages is translated by Sahar Tawfiq whom the reader would search for her translated books as researchers look for Red mercury… I congratulate her on this tremendous effort, especially that one can notice the diligence and accuracy in her translation despite the lengthy text… as the book is divided into six parts and a conclusion… the parts in turn are divided into 60 chapters… also, there are lists of sources, references and documents in addition to separate indices.

If one contemplates about the Armenian Genocide where about million and a half Armenians were martyred on the hands of Turks, he will remember the Turkish Ottoman tragedies throughout history.

I remember when I was once in a road trip from Thessaloniki in northern Greece heading to old United Yugoslavia – that was before it was divided into states… I went there, accompanied by my friend, the unionist Syrian Dr. Ali Fattal, to give a series of lectures… I have already written about this trip before.

However, I stop by what I saw at the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina starting from simplicity – I won’t say deterioration common among Muslims there – to the appalling scenes I saw as there were many walls in old churches and castles built entirely of courses of Serbs’ skulls… I wish they had covered them with mortar but they left them exposed with the hollow eye cavities and lipless even teeth apparent.

Years later after that trip, I realized why the Serbs were that vicious in fighting the Bosnians… and then I remembered the genuine novel written by Ivo Andric titled “The bridge on the Drina” and translated by Sami ad-Dorobi… in this novel, the writer detected the terrifying horror that spread among the region residents due to the savage behavior of the murderer Turkish invaders… and how the river stones cried upon the scene of murdering the Serbian resistance leader by impalement.

Then one can recall the Ottoman invasion on Levant and Egypt… and despite the massacres were not accurately documented like the case of Armenians and before them the Serbs, one can definitely fill the blanks… as what is known is enough to write what is missing.

Can we imagine the number of victims at the time when the Turkish invaders leaded by Selim I robbed Levant and Egypt of their skilled workers, especially craftsmen, artisans and skillful workers in thousands?... meaning masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, Khayamya artisans, people working in brass and gold products, shoe makers, tailors, veterinaries, apothecaries and spice dealers… to the rest of crafts… they were all taken to Anatolia to work by force in the Ottoman state.

Logically, some must have resisted and tried to escape… and of course, those escaping attempts were met by the known Turkish violence… not to mention the victims killed in battle fields and others who died in death marches of the invading army… that army experienced in violence and blood shedding since their ancestors first came from Central Asia and swept the way through until they settled down in Anatolia.

It’s the Turkish Ottoman mentality that left its footprints in many regions… and what is happening in Upper Egypt toward Egyptian Christian citizens by excluding and forcing them to displace remind us of the Ottoman heritage.
